By Mark Webster
Do you need help relaxing, meditating or letting go? If you said yes then this CD is for you. The creator of Inner Peace is Sherry McHenry. Sherry has been a healthcare professional for over 20 years. She is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, a stress management educator and is highly skilled in the use of guided imagery. To make things even better, she is right here in Cincinnati!
What you will need
Find a quiet place and get comfortable. Don’t listen to the CD in your car or while operating machinery. Be ready to relax and let go. You can listen to this CD on a regular stereo; however I liked the experience of using my headphones.
Multiple Choices with this CD
Inner Peace gives you two options. The first track is about 8 minutes long, to listen to at the start of your day. The second track is about 50 minutes long. This track is great to listen to at the end of your day, perhaps at bedtime.
My Experience
Ten o’clock PM, at the end of a very stressful day, I dimmed the lights, and lay down on the couch with my headphones. Lying there with tense shoulders and my jaw clenched, I wondered if this was really going to help me. I immediately notice that Sherry’s voice is very relaxing. I listen to her words with undivided attention. As I listen I notice that my shoulders are letting go. She guides me through the relaxation process, starting at my head and working down to my toes. Before I know it my mouth is wide open. For a moment I think, oh my gosh, I must look like a fool! But I quickly realized I am alone and this is my time to relax and let go. I became so focused on myself and my breathing that nothing else mattered. I was with myself, and I was healing myself. In this relaxing state I was able to focus on my stressed out body and I could feel it letting go and relaxing. It was as if I was on a rollercoaster and finally at the point it was slowly coasting into the loading dock. I felt so relaxed, relieved and comfortable. The next thing I can tell you is this: When I opened my eyes it was 7:00 AM. I slept right there on the couch all night, never waking up once. Now if you know me, you know I always wake up through the night, sometimes twice. Not this night or any night since then. That could be because I listen to Inner Peace every night at bedtime, only now I am in my bed. I have adopted Inner Peace as my security blanket. It is an awesome CD and I recommend it to everyone.
